Hello!!
Today i am back with a simple homely soup-like dish called Rasam. The one i am making here is tomato based thus the name Tomato Rasam.
Rasam is a common dish across South india that is mostly eaten along with hot rice or sometimes just like a soup for lunch or dinner. Rasam is good for health as it aids in digestion. Hence the logic behind coupling it with meals it very clear.
I am going to make Rasam here from the fresh spices at home. If you prefer , you could go for the Rasam powder that is easily availabe in the market. But i suggest you make it on your own which is much healthier. Rasam is not a time consuming dish. Also making dishes from scratch could help you in so many ways. It could be a way to manage stress. Plus you get to choose the amount and intensity of each and every ingredient that you add. The freedom to make your own meal is not a small thing. We must appreciate it often.
Anyway, let us move on to the ingredients and the method.
